I was born in Muenster, Texas. I grew up in the Poly area of Fort Worth and Haltom City. I graduated from Haltom City High School.
I discovered radiography in 1976 through the USAF Reserves after 2.5 years in college at Texas Woman’s University in Denton. I have been in radiography ever since.
Although I have continued my education and training, I keep coming back to diagnostic radiography. My personal opinion is that Diagnostic Radiography requires more from the professional in patient care decisions, positioning decisions, technical selection decisions – yes, even with today’s CR and DR equipment!
Currently, I am blessed to be allowed to work with the novices/apprentices of our chosen profession.
Before I was elected to my current secretarial duties, I was deeply involved with a lady’s group at my Church. While I am still involved, it will not be as deep so I can spend more time concentrating on NTRTS.
