What is a Radiologic Technologist?
A Radiologic Technologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in performing medical imaging procedures to help diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. These procedures may include X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, mammograms, and other imaging technologies. Radiologic Technologists work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. They must also have a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively interpret and communicate the results of imaging studies. Radiologic Technologists must complete formal education and training programs, pass national certification exams, and maintain continuing education requirements to stay up-to-date on advancements in the field.
